The Excalibur Poker Room

The Excalibur Resort And Casino’s Poker Room

Excalibur Poker VegasHuzzah! Poker at the Excalibur Resort and Casino is a perennial player favorite and it has been rated excellent for beginning poker players. It was moved, expanded, and renovated to accommodate the addition of more tables. The atmosphere of the Excalibur is lively all around with its medieval décor. This is one casino and resort every one of all ages will enjoy.

When the room was renovated and moved, it was expanded to handle twenty tables. The tables are all brand new and decked out with a leather trim. A large high-definition television was added for the players to watch sporting events while they play. Kitchen rules – designed for beginners – are available and while more advanced players may not like this; it’s a protection method for the novice. The dealers are great and accommodating and competent at their job.

Excalibur Poker Games

One of the reasons the Excalibur is so favored among is the $1/$3 low spread Texas Hold’Em tables. It’s the only casino with that low of a spread. Limit Hold’Em starts with a $2/$6 spread and there are no limits games starting at $2/$4 and $4/$8 with a $200 maximum buy-in that include $1/$2 blinds. Seven Card Stud games can also be found at this poker cardroom with a $1/$5 spread. Larger spread games are not usually found at the Excalibur and the rakes do not go over $4.00.

There are only two bonus games at the Excalibur. One of the bonuses is the Wheel Spin. Any limit Texas Hold’Em game above the $1/$3 spread in which the player hits a four of a kind or better gives the player a chance to spin the wheel. Prizes range from $20 to $100. The other bonus is the bad beat jackpot for all $2/$6 games and higher.

Tournaments at the Excalibur are offered on daily basis starting at 9am with a 7am starting registration time. Buy-in is $35 + $10 with no re-buys or add-ons. The $35 gives the players 300 in chips. Maximum amount of players is 25 and each game lasts fifteen minutes. Blinds are at $5/$10, $10/$20, $25/$50, $50/$100, $100/$200, $200/$400, $400/$800, $800/$1,600, and $1,600/$3,200. There is also a 1pm tournament schedule for all of the same specifications except the amount of players is 30.

With the low-limit tables at this poker card room, the competition is soft. This is one of the reasons the room is great for the beginner poker player. Intimidation is missing from this room and that’s one of the reasons many novices will come to this poker room to play and get some practical experience at the tables before moving on to any of the other poker rooms along the strip.

There are no player comps while at the table, but players can get reduced room rates for five hours worth of play at the poker room. Poker room rates start at $39 to $79 from Sunday to Thursday and $69 to $99 on Friday and Saturday.

And if you a looking for an interesting dining experience make sure you check out the joust dinner theatre.
