Harrahs Poker Room

Harrahs Vegas Casino Poker Room

Harrahs PokerPrior to 2004, Harrah’s in Las Vegas did not have a poker room. When it acquired the rights to the World Series of Poker, they decided to add the room to accommodate the many players that would inundate the casino. Today, the poker room is located where the race and sports book was once located.

Players at the non-smoking poker cardroom will enjoy the ten tables at the glass enclosed room. This seals off any of the casino floor noise. The tables are in good conditions, the chairs are comfortable, and there are plenty of television sets around the room to keep track of the different games that are being played in and out of the casino. This poker room uses a computerized list that is displayed near the manager’s desk allowing waiting poker players to see how much longer they need to wait. And for those players who love to find interesting and esoteric things, they will love the clock that is above the manager’s desk, one of the only working ones in the entire city. The dealer’s as very good as is the wait staff and Harrah’s offers table side food service.

Harrahs Poker Games

Table spreads at Harrah’s poker room include limit and no limit Texas Hold’Em, and Seven Card Stud. The Spreads are $2/$4, $3/$6, $4/$8 and $6/$12 with no limits at$1/$2 and $2/$5 with buy-ins at $60/$200. Some of the games offer ½ kills. Seven Card Stud spreads at $1/$5. Lessons are available at Harrah’s poker card room and they start at 9am daily.

Harrahs Poker Tounaments

Tournaments at Harrah’s are obviously very good. They usually host World Series of Poker satellites in addition to daily events. The daily events are no limit Texas Hold’Em tournaments that start at 11am, 11:30 am, 3:30pm., 7:30pm, and 11:30pm. The first three tournaments have a $50 buy-in for 1,500 in chips with an add-on option of $40 for 1,500 more. The other times have a $100 buy-in for 3,000 chips with no add-on or buy-ins. Rounds are twenty and fifteen minute rounds respectively. Blinds start at $25 and $50. Occasionally players will find an Omaha or Seven Card Stud tournament. Usual wait for a table is between five and fifteen minutes.

Players at Harrah’s especially love the television sets that ring the room. The management staff is willing to turn on a particular sporting event if requested and there are no other objections. While this is not the first poker room on the strip to offer televisions, the layout of this particular room has rated this factor high on the scale of things that are pluses in player’s eyes.

Hosting the World Series of Poker made a big difference to this resort and casino and gave the owners a good reason to make one and compete with the other establishments on the strip. The management and staff are rated as some of the best and are very helpful and accommodating to the players even thought there are no additional comps offered for playing at their tables.
