The Mirage Poker RoomThe Mirage - Vegas Poker
The Mirage’s poker cardroom contains thirty tables in a smoke free environment. It is well lit with a great ambience to it. It’s very well spaced with two brush podiums, but when it is very crowded, players tend to say it feels cramped. The competition is pretty tough at the Mirage and the $6/$12 Texas Hold’Em games seem to be the toughest ones in Vegas. Waits can be up to an hour during peak playing time, but the management staff can handle the waiting list with the best of them. The service for drinks is a bit slow also during peak times, but if you are one the players still in the room after 4am, you do get treated to some great sandwiched from the casino kitchen. Players can take advantage of poker lessons from 5pm to 1am as well. Mirage Poker GamesThe poker room at The Mirage spreads Texas Hold’Em, Omaha, and Seven Card Stud. The spreads and stakes are killer. Limit Texas Hold’Em ranges from $3/$6, $4/$8, $6/$12, $10/$20, $20/$40, $40/$80 and higher if the players request it at the high-end tables and with managerial approval. Blinds on the no limit Texas Hold’Em tables start at $1/$2, $2/$5 and higher with buy-ins at $200/$500. Omaha tables are $5/$10 eights or better and $10/$20 eights or better. No limit Texas Hold’Em tournaments run from Sunday to Thursday with a buy-in of $100 + 25 for 3,000 of starting chips on Sunday at 5pm. The rounds are held in thirty minute intervals and all of them begin with a $25/$50 blind. Monday through Wednesday the tournaments start at 7pm with a buy-in of $100 + 25 for 2,500 chips, and $200 + 30 for 3,000 chips on Tuesdays.
