The Venetian Poker Room

Las Vegas Venetian Cardroom

Venetian Poker Room Las Vegas21 large screen plasma televisions grace the walls of the Venetian Casino and Resort’s poker room. It is considered – along with the Wynn and the Bellagio – to be one of the three high luxury poker rooms on the Vegas strip. The Venetian poker room has 39 poker tables.

Only one wall is open on the poker room, making if fairly quiet with the exception of low level classical music to provide background noise. The Venetian poker room is split into two areas, one for average limit play and one for high stakes play.

Decorated in rich wood and a light brown color, the card room is warm and inviting. Table side food service is available, and the tables are well appointed with arm rests, high quality felt, drink holders and automatic shufflers. The Venetian left plenty of room for maneuvering between the poker tables.

The casino provides two high-limit poker card rooms for their guests to play in. The low to moderate high-limit room is part of the main poker room and is separated by a short wall partition across from the cashier. The premiere high-limit poker room – the VIP room – is located in a separate room inside the main poker room. The décor and quality is comparable to Bobby’s Room in the Bellagio. Sometimes rumors circulate that the ‘Big Game’ may move to the Venetian.

Venetian Poker Games and Limits

Spreads on the thirty-nine tables of the Venetian’s card room cover $4/8 and $5/$10 Texas Hold’Em, $10/$20 Omaha, $8/$16 Mixed Games, and $15/$30 Limit Texas Hold’Em. There is also a $1/$2, $2/$5 and $5/$10 No-Limit Texas Hold’Em which is very helpful for beginners of the game. The high-stakes area accepts $30/$60 and $50/$100 games upon manager approval. Games not listed at the Venetian for stakes and spread will be considered and covered if there is sufficient interest.

The high limit room offers players the chance to play poker with $4,000/$8,000 blinds. These games are usually played in Texas Hold’Em variation and players can order butler food service or relax in one of the lounges when they need a break from the game. Safety deposit boxes are also offered for the guests use.

Tournaments

Sunday through Friday sees two daily poker tournaments being played. A Noon No Limit Texas Hold’Em tournament is available with a $110 + $15 buy in that allows one rebuy. Pay the dealer $5 and an extra $1,000 is given to you to add to the $1,500 in tournament chips sitting stacked before you. A version of this tournament is also held at 8pm.

The Saturday version of this tournament has a larger by-in of $500 + $40. Satellites for this event start at 8am with a two winner single tables for $130. Saturday evening’s tournament has a buy-in of $175 + $20 with a dealer tip bonus.
